Apart from the graffit (see previous post), some nice food
The pie from pietin is quite big…and the sides are HUGE. As for the desserts from black star…yummy! I quite liked the raspberry creme brulee.
You’ll find alot of people with their dogs in Newtown as well…big and small..whatever u like.
I find graffiti to look quite nice, but I disagree with those who do it on trains etc. At places where it is accepted by the public/owner is fine. And it can look great. Newtown always has some nice ones, and since I didn’t have anything to do, I took some photos of them. Sorry, I didn’t saturate the colours abit to make it stand out more.

Was a delicious bbq and really interesting table. You gotta have MJ or tai chi skills to open up the table (from a round table to a bigger one).
A belated bday breakfast with aunt. Food’s pretty nice, but need to try their $25 per person breakfast menu where you get to try different stuff.
Was planning to go Fish & Chips at Balmoral, but…all the shops were closed.
Anyways, since The Burger Shed was new and even had an article about it on SMH, thought I’ll give it another go.
I’ve had the burger once already for lunch (takeaway) and I found it to be OK only. Maybe cos it had gone cold.
Looking at the menu, I was intrigued by the ‘Strawberry Vanilla Cheesecake’ shake, and the Baja Fish Soft Tacos (hey, it was supposed to be fish&chips for dinner!). And of course, there were fries…’truffle, parmesan, fries’ to be exact.
Would I go back? Yeah, I would. But I would make an effort to go and eat there. I actually prefer Grill’d
